Yealering Primary School (PS) are seeking to establish a pool of K-6 Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
We are an inspiring rural school located between the three larger centres of Corrigin, Narrogin and Pingelly in the heart of the Upper Great Southern Wheatbelt. Our students are focused; behaviour is exemplary, and a nurturing culture supports individual student needs.

The Role
Suitable applicants ideally focus on understanding each individual student and cater for their academic, social, physical and emotional growth. Suitable applicants ideally or should be actively involved in all aspects of the school community, with a positive and enthusiastic attitude. Applicants need to be data literate and use assessments to guide planning for teaching and learning. Ideally applicants will have experience with approaches in English and Mathematics including oral language strategies. Experience with Daily Reviews and explicit direct instruction would be highly regarded.
Yealering PS students benefit from multi age classrooms. Suitable applicants will ideally have classroom management capabilities that flexibly differentiate tasks in all learning areas to suit the needs of individual students. An understanding of and experience with the implementation of the Western Australian Positive Behaviour Support (WAPBS) program is preferable. A high level of care and compassion for individual student progress, along with possessed skills and strategies for planning and working with Students Educational Needs (SEN) is also highly desirable.

Eligibility
To work with us, you must:
- Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start; and
- consent to and obtain a National Criminal History Check with the Department's Screening Unit.
Vacancies may arise during the life of this pool that require specialist qualifications (for example vacancies within Early Childhood Education). Only applicants, in the pool, possessing the required qualifications will be considered for appointment in these circumstances.
