Cassia Primary School and Cassia Education Support Centre are seeking to establish a pool of K-6 and Education Support Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2024 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2025. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
The Role
Suitable applicants will ideally use explicit teaching strategies and exhibit effective classroom management skills to enhance student learning and wellbeing. Applicants should also be flexible, have strong interpersonal and communication skills, a commitment to professional learning and a high-level of participation in collaborative team planning.
They will plan, program and assess using an integrated curriculum, differentiated to meet individual student needs. Applicants will also ideally have highly effective teaching practices, an ability to self-reflect and a willingness to seek constant improvement in their own practice.
We are seeking applicants who are hardworking and knowledgeable about a range of disabilities and the implementation of strategies to support and enhance individual development in all areas. Teachers in an education support environment positively manage a team of Education Assistants to create a safe and supportive learning environment for students. They engage with and contribute to the school community and work collaboratively with families, therapists, and outside agencies to improve student outcomes.

Situated alongside Cassia Primary School, we proudly serve as the only Specialist ESC in the Pilbara. Drawing students from diverse backgrounds, we embrace and celebrate the rich tapestry of experiences within our school community.
