Clarkson Primary School (PS) is an Independent Public School catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 6. The Role
The successful applicant will carry out internal cleaning duties, including the maintenance of carpets and hard floor surfaces, toilet cleaning, sinks, furniture and fittings, window cleaning, dusting and rubbish removal. You will perform external cleaning duties, including the cleaning of verandas and covered areas, cleaning of drinking troughs, window cleaning and rubbish removal. You will complete vacation cleaning duties, including the stripping and sealing of vinyl floors, window cleaning, shampooing of carpets, pressure cleaning of verandas and undercover areas, and other such duties as required by the Cleaner-in-Charge.
To be successful for this role you will ideally have a good attention to detail and will be able to work well both individually and as part of a team to ensure a clean and safe school environment. The successful applicant will ideally be organised, reliable and punctual and have excellent knowledge of cleaning equipment, including work safe procedures, safety data sheets (SDS), PPE, safe cleaning procedures, methods and practices. Experience working with hazardous substances, cleaning toilets, hard floors and carpets, backpack vacuums and polishers is preferred as well as knowledge of the practical application of SDS is preferred.
