The Role
As a successful applicant, your responsibilities include undertaking reception duties, such as greeting visitors, answering the telephone, and responding to routine enquiries and requests for information in an efficient and friendly manner. You will provide effective and accurate general clerical and administrative support, including preparing correspondence, newsletters, notices, and other materials promptly. Distributing and collecting documents, forms, and mail may also be part of your role, as well as collecting and receipting monies following Departmental procedures.
You will operate and maintain office equipment, including monitoring and ordering office consumables. Your tasks include inputting data, generating routine reports, and creating other documents from school databases. Arranging catering for school functions and making travel arrangements for school staff will also be your responsibility. Additionally, you will assist with the maintenance of school facilities, assets, and resources by reporting faults, organising repairs, helping with stock takes, and updating the asset and resources registers.
As a successful applicant, you will be supporting student-related activities, such as maintaining student attendance records, generating routine reports and correspondence related to absenteeism, assisting with student enrolment procedures, and handling information related to school bus timetables. You will assist the Manager Corporate Services with the induction and training of school support staff and recruitment processes. Lastly, you will maintain staff records and contact relief staff as directed.
