The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated person to provide day-to-day maintenance landscaping and gardening services to join our wonderful Carramar community. Being energetic and having a keen desire to maintain grounds and gardens in our school would be highly desirable.
As a Gardener - Handyperson you provide gardening, grounds, and facility management support to ensure a safe and clean school environment. The successful applicant will ideally maintain and present the school grounds and gardens in an attractive, clean, and tidy condition and provide a suitable growing environment for both soft and hard landscaping. The successful applicant will perform minor repairs and maintenance as requested, as well as other Gardener duties in accordance with the Department’s policies and guidelines.
The successful applicant should be of a friendly and helpful disposition, display effective communication skills, be able to develop and maintain good working relationships with staff, students and external stakeholders.
The successful applicant will ideally model effective quality customer service to our school community and have practical experience in health and safety in this type of workplace environment. Ideally you will be able to work unsupervised, with the ability to identify and recognise work that is required to be completed. You should also be well organised, have attention to detail, a positive attitude and be a team player.
