Coolbellup Community School (CCS) is seeking to hire a highly skilled, team oriented, dedicated and enthusiastic Manager Corporate Services to join our dynamic team starting in Term 3.
As Manager Corporate Services, you will have responsibility for the successful delivery of all corporate operations including school and student administration, with oversight and responsibility for all financial, physical and human resource processes. In collaboration with the Principal and other members of the leadership team, you will provide vital input to the development of the school’s workforce and strategic plans, including timely feedback on the school’s financial position and performance.
A thorough knowledge of the School Resourcing System, RM Finance and Assets, the Education Department Human Resource Management Information System (HRMIS) and high-level financial management skills is highly desirable. The successful applicant should provide consistency for financial planning and budgeting within the school and ideally possess an excellent knowledge of Department Policies and Guidelines. Experience in managing the day-to-day financial operations specific to a departmental school and maximise the staffing structure to best support the school's needs, strategic plan and vision, will be advantageous.
To be successful in the role, you will ideally possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and strategic administration experience including the ability to meet all audit requirements. You will ideally possess outstanding organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise within your areas of responsibility. You may be responsible for the mentoring, development, and management of school support staff as well as forging highly effective working relationships with all stakeholders, both internal and external. You will be required to provide leadership and guidance to the staff, fostering a positive work culture and promoting professional development.
Coolbellup Community School is a primary school situated approximately 20km south of the City of Perth. We have around 195 students enrolled. Coolbellup Community School shares the site with Coolbellup Learning Centre with joint events taking place and shared use of the facilities. We are also the link school to Pineview Community Kindergarten, which is off-site. The school is well kept and is part of a multicultural and inclusive community.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
- Leadership skills in the delivery of business outcomes and sound customer service principles and practices.
- Well developed oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to use effective negotiation skills.
- Sound financial management skills, including budget preparation and the ability to interpret and apply financial and accounting practices and procedures.
- Sound human resource management skills, including the ability to develop and/or apply human resource management practices and systems.
- Ability to provide input into the development, implementation and monitoring of business and marketing plans.
- Sound conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills

Eligibility and training requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter;
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement;
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
