We currently have 1.7 FTE AIN positions available.
Whilst this selection process will initially be used to fill the
above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other "similar"
vacancies throughout the health service. In addition to this,
should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised
vacancy, then the next most suitable applicant may also be selected
from this process. Both options remain valid for a period of twelve
(12) months from when the authorised delegate endorses the
recruitment decision.
As
an AIN you will:
Provide
general nursing care for patients within the AIN scope of practice
by completing delegated tasks which may include assisting with
–
o
Patient
meals
o
Patient
activities of daily living
o
Patient
mobility
o
Communication
·
Deliver
quality patient care in consultation with and under the supervision
of a Registered Nurse.
·
Be
part of a wider multidisciplinary team
To be employed as an AIN at CAHS:
There are two AIN pre-requisite pathways to facilitate
employment:
1.
Non-Student
Pathway:
Successful completion and possession of a Certificate III in Health
Services Assistance - Acute Care.
2.
Student
Pathway:
Evidence of successful completion with academic good standing of a
Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) approved program of
study for either:

Semester
1 to 3 (50% completion) of Bachelor of Nursing program
·
Semester
1 to 4 (50% completion) of dual Bachelor of Science (Nursing) /
Bachelor of Science (Midwifery) program
