Meadow Springs Education Support Centre (ESC) is seeking to appoint a highly organised and committed Manager Corporate Services to join our school.
The Manager Corporate Services is responsible for the management of the school’s financial, physical, and human resources. They play an essential role in the effective and efficient operation of the school by working alongside the executive team to ensure all financial, human resource and operational procedures are met.
Meadow Springs ESC shares a campus with Meadow Springs Primary School (MSPS). The ability to work collaboratively alongside the MSPS Manager Corporate Services to identify and resolve issues is highly desirable within this role.
Ideally the successful applicant will be an administrator, with clear knowledge of how the Manager Corporate Services role impacts and is guided by the school improvement model, the School Resourcing System, and the Student-Centred Funding Model.
The successful applicant will work within the leadership team in a strategic space around workforce planning and the targeted use of resources. You will supervise and manage support staff and will be responsible for the development of training for school-based staff to ensure financial compliance and high quality practices are embedded.
The successful applicant should be student and relationship-focused, highly motivated, innovative, and able to work collaboratively. The ideal person should possess a warm and friendly nature, be highly organised and have the ability to multi-task.
We are seeking an individual ideally with strong recordkeeping, financial and human resource management skills. The successful applicant should be willing to create solutions within the workplace and be versatile to complement the operations of the school. They should have effective time management skills and be able to prioritise tasks to meet deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication will be key to this role and ideally, they need to possess excellent knowledge of Department Policies and Guidelines.
Experience in using RM Finance, RM Billing, SIS, Human Resources Management Information System (HRMIS) and the School Resourcing System software packages is highly desirable.
Meadow Springs ESC is an integrated specialist school catering for students from Years K-6 who have an Intellectual Disability and / or Autism. The Education Support Centre has 10 classrooms that are integrated throughout the shared school site with Meadow Springs Primary School. Both schools work closely together to support the needs of students, staff, and parents across the school site. MSPS & Meadow Springs ESC opened in 2012 with a positive approach to an inclusive learning community. As an Independent Public School, we are able to use our resources more flexibly across the site in order to meet the needs of our students. At Meadow Springs, we pride ourselves on a strong sense of community and believe students learn best when everyone works together to provide positive learning for everyone.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
- leadership skills in the delivery of business outcomes and sound customer service principles and practices.
- well developed oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to use effective negotiation skills.
- sound financial management skills, including budget preparation and the ability to interpret and apply financial and accounting practices and procedures.
- sound human resource management skills, including the ability to develop and/or apply human resource management practices and systems.
- ability to provide input into the development, implementation and monitoring of business and marketing plans.
- sound conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills.

Eligibility and training requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter;
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement;
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
