Hillcrest Primary School (PS) is seeking three (3) enthusiastic and motivated Middle (Year 3 and 4) Primary Teachers to join their friendly team.
We currently have the following positions available:
For Permanent tenure only
- 3 x – permanent full-time positions
All positions will commence Term 1, 2024
The successful applicants should be highly reflective, have strong positive classroom management skills and be able work collaboratively to build positive relationships with students, staff and community.
It would be highly advantageous for applicants to have good communication skills, excellent interpersonal acumen and up to date curriculum knowledge. Knowledge of school programs is ideal. Hillcrest PS is looking for team players, that can seamlessly fit the dynamic school culture. We would ideally like someone with a high level of ICT knowledge (particularly Chromebooks and Office 365) and ability to use data informed practice to improve student outcomes.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
