Coolbellup Community School is seeking a dynamic and friendly Primary Teacher to join their amazing team.
We are looking for a passionate and collaborative educator who is willing to create a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment. You will ideally be able to embrace and implement our whole school approaches and display confidence in utilising Information Communication Technology (ICT) in the classroom.
The successful applicant should have a strong knowledge of all key elements of curriculum and pedagogy as well as an ability to inspire students to develop a passion for learning in vibrant, engaging and supportive classrooms. You should have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to build effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community.
Located in the suburb of Coolbellup approximately 10 kilometres from the city of Perth, Coolbellup Community School was established in 2005 with a student population that reflected a cosmopolitan and diverse community characterised by a variety of cultural backgrounds. In 2006 the school relocated to a new state of the art learning facility on Len Packham Reserve adjacent to the Cockburn Community Hub
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate your competency against the following domains (that govern the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers):
- Professional knowledge;
- Professional practice; and
- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course;
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check; and
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
