Appointment Pool
Hampton Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool of Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) Teachers for appointments to permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2023. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencements within the 2022 school year, up to the end of Term 1, 2023.
Suitable applicants will utilise their motivational and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and create an engaging learning environment for students in the HASS Learning Area. Within this context the school is seeking suitable applicants who are willing to teach HASS within Hampton's Year 7 Professional Learning Community. This may include teaching an English class dependant on the needs of the school.
To be suitable, applicants need to be committed to maximising the engagement and progress of all students. Applicants with the knowledge and ability to teach in another learning area are highly desirable.

- Professional engagement.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- Provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy;
- Obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment;
- Obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check;
- Meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration requirements; and
- Complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course.
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- Complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- Complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
