About the role
Our school has a strong Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) focus and has been a finalist in the WA Governor’s STEM School of the Year in 2019 and 2021, leadership opportunities in this area are ongoing with a focus on delivering high impact instruction and supporting staff. There is a strong emphasis on teamwork and collaboration.

To be successful in this role you should exhibit care and consideration for students, display effective behaviour management practices and show a willingness to seek constant improvement in your practice. Knowledge of the Digital Technologies curriculum up to and including Year 6 and having the ability to differentiate for individual students, resulting in the provision of engaging learning experiences is highly desirable.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- meet the Department of Education Teacher Qualifications and Registration
TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
