About the role

Muludja RCS are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Childhood Education Teacher for the school’s KindiLink and Junior Primary programs to join their friendly team. These programs cater for Pre-Kindergarten (0-3-year-old) and Junior Primary (K-Year 3)

We are seeking a teacher who will embrace the school priorities, create a warm, welcoming environment and collaborate successfully with other staff. Suitable applicants will be those who enjoy working collaboratively and are enthusiastic about embracing current and future best practice in ECE (Year 1 - 3)

The successful applicant will work closely with all families enrolled and in particular with Aboriginal children and their families. The program aims to deliver positive educational outcomes and supporting the children and families in becoming Kindergarten ready. With the assistance of an Aboriginal Education Officer, the teacher will support families in understanding the importance of education and model appropriate strategies to help families support their children’s education.

The successful applicant should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a sound understanding of the Aboriginal Cultural Standards Framework is desirable.

At the Muludja RCS, our motto is 'Binyidi, Smart and Skudda'. Also known as the 'Muludja Way', the motto builds on our Stronger Smarter philosophy which respects the traditional owners, the Gooniyandi people.

Binyidi means strong/hard in Gooniyandi which represents the strength and identity students get through their local Aboriginal culture.

Smart is for the learning in Standard Australian English that happens at school which serves as a bridge between Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal culture.

Located approximately 33km from Fitzroy Crossing our school is seen as the bridge between different cultures in the region.

Our teachers are usually from vastly different cultural backgrounds and enjoy a strong bond with their students and families. We strive to build an authentic and interactive experience for teachers and their students.
