Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur. Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/12/2021.
Position Profile: We are seeking to appoint suitably experienced people to the position of Service Manager. This position will be responsible in partnership with the Head of Service, for the strategic development, coordination, integration, monitoring and evaluation of a designated CAMHS Service. Suitable applicants will also be responsible for the clinical and corporate governance of the service, managing the financial, physical and human resources of the Service.
Ideal candidates will undertake direct line management responsibility for multidisciplinary team and other staff working within the Service, as well as represent CAMHS and liaise with senior management in other health industry agencies on mental health service planning and delivery. This role requires participation in the development and delivery of a comprehensive, integrated child and adolescent mental health service across CAHS Community, PCH and CAMHS Services.
The Child and Adolescent Health Service (CAHS) aims to ensure that the children and young people of Western Australia get the best start in life through health promotion; early intervention; and patient centred, family-focused care.
CAHS employs over 4000 people and provides services throughout the community within metropolitan Perth; operating the State’s only dedicated Tertiary Paediatric Hospital (Perth Children’s Hospital); providing specialised state wide services; as well as providing support to other hospitals and health services across Western Australia.
