People need to get to work, home and everywhere in between and businesses rely on our roads. With a rich history dating back to 1926 and exciting future ahead, Main Roads Western Australia is the WA State Government agency responsible for managing the State's road network safely, connecting people and places. Main Roads is not just about roads. It’s about people.
About the Role

These projects will be executed in accordance with Main Roads specifications and client requirements across the state.
You will be responsible for preparing project plans, resource and financial plans, quality plans, and associated inspection and test plans. This role involves extensive liaison with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project development and delivery, as well as reporting on project progress and current and forecast expenditure.
To be successful, you will:
- Have considerable experience in the design and construction of electrical control systems, preferably traffic control signals.
- Ensure compliance with Western Australian Electrical Requirements and AS/NZS 3000 wiring rules (2018) in delivering electrical capital projects.
- Have proven experience in project and contract management.
- Demonstrate strong skills in building and enhancing stakeholder relationships.
About You
We are looking for candidates with considerable experience in the design and construction of electrical control subsystems, ideally traffic control signals. Your experience in liaison, facilitation, and problem-solving will be crucial in this role.
If you are an enthusiastic and committed individual with a positive, flexible, and adaptable approach to evolving business needs, we invite you to join our supportive and friendly environment at the Jandakot depot. Here, you will be part of a diverse workforce, enjoy excellent employee conditions, and work within a small, dedicated team.
If this sounds like you and you’re ready to build your future at Main Roads, we would love to hear from you!
