About the Role
This role can be undertaken either full time or part time (ideal for parents who want to work school hours only).

Our Network Operations Planning branch is actively seeking a passionate expert to the fulfil the role of Network Operations Planning Coordinator. In the role of Network Operations Planning Coordinator, your responsibilities will encompass:
- Process development, review and implementation: lead the conceptualisation, evaluation and execution of processes, guidelines, and policy documents, ensuring compliance with Traffic Engineering principles and standards. You will oversee the continual evolution and enhancement of operational procedures.
- Resource management: coordinate the financial and technological resources, optimising resource allocation for network operations planning and implementation.
- Stakeholder engagement: lead the strategic management of stakeholder engagement, including collaborating on processes to foster productive relationships, support decision making, and drive policy formation.
- Guideline and policy maintenance: coordinate and contribute to the development and update of existing guidelines and policy documents, ensuring timely updates and alignment with evolving industry requirements. Create policies and technical guidelines through a dynamic process involving stakeholders and industry insights.
- Reporting proficiency: produce technical reports including key performance indicators, operational outcomes and recommendations.
- Project management and communications: adept at overseeing complex network operations projects. Communicate with cross-functional teams and internal and external stakeholders to ensure the smooth flow of information and project coordination.
- Transport and domain knowledge: coordinate alignment with Network Operations Planning and Transport Planning and facilitating management of the suite of policy and guideline documents related to the network operations schemes.
By taking on this role, you will be a key contributor to the Network Operations Directorate’s mission of optimising the road network’s performance, ensuring safe and efficient transportation for the people and freight of Western Australia.

- A statement outlining your substantial skill, knowledge and experience in the following four (4) criteria in no more than four (4) pages:
- Developing, reviewing and implementing policies, processes and guidelines for planning road network operations
- Traffic management principles and practices including traffic control systems and ITS technologies such as “Smart Freeways”
- Network operations performance measurement and analysis
- Building and enhancing stakeholder relationships.
- A copy of your current Western Australian motor vehicle (car) Driver’s Licence or approved equivalent.
- If applicable to you (not mandatory), a copy of your Degree in Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Traffic Engineering or ITS, or other relevant discipline.
