The Strategic Priorities directorate provides strategic policy advice to the Director General and Premier across a broad range of areas or matters.
The Strategic Priorities directorate focus on key government priorities, issues that cut across multiple portfolios, and provide a pragmatic approach to long standing issues that impact the wellbeing of the WA community and maximise Western Australia’s opportunities with the Commonwealth government.

There is currently one (1) permanent position available for immediate filling.
Suitable applicants from this process will be placed in a pool from which temporary and/or permanent appointments may be made. The pool will operate for a period of twelve (12) months from the date that the recruitment breach period has been finalised.

About the Role
As a Senior Policy Officer in our team, you will work on policy or project work to inform the delivery of the strategic government priorities, support agencies with reforms or major time-critical initiatives and provide well researched and sound options the Department can rely. You will have relevant experience in reform, strategic initiatives, or interagency projects.
