Legal Aid WA seeks candidates interested in applying for entry into an Administration Officer / Paralegal Pool for positions which may become available during the next 12 months across the agency. About the role
In this role, you will have substantial contact with clients, providing legal information and referrals where appropriate, as well as undertaking a broad range of administrative duties, including but not limited to:
- Managing incoming calls and emails
- Scheduling appointments
- Completing Legal Aid application forms
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
- Data entry and assisting with record keeping
- Providing administrative support to lawyers, including some paralegal tasks
About You
We are seeking candidates who are enthusiastic with well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, who feel comfortable working with people over the telephone and in person. To be successful in the roles, you will have:
- Strong computer skills
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to manage workloads and competing priorities
- Experience working in a team with the ability to contribute positively to that team
- A good working knowledge of court processes, Legal Aid services, and other community-based support and advice services
