Position Profile: In collaboration with key stakeholders and the management, develops, plans, implements and evaluates culturally appropriate health promotion programs within the Goldfields region to address local, state and commonwealth population health priorities.
The positions available are as follows:
Health promotion officer: The health promotion officer works in collaboration with regional stakeholders to develop, plan, implement and evaluate culturally appropriate health promotion programs within the Goldfields region to address local, state and commonwealth health priorities.
Health promotion officer (Needle Syringe Program): Support the coordination of Regional Needle Syringe Program (NSP) through attending training, maintaining data, and at times operating the Needle Syringe Exchange Program (NSEP). This role includes offering injecting equipment to consumers and providing brief interventions in harm reduction and referrals as required. This is a confidential and non-judgemental service open to people who inject drugs and steroids users.
