About us
Energy Policy WA oversees provision of innovative and quality advice, and leads the planning and development of initiatives that shape the energy sector for the benefit of Western Australians now and into the future. As a Group within the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (the Department), Energy Policy WA does this by supporting the Deputy Director General to deliver their functions and statutory responsibilities, as well as providing day to day oversight of the Energy Policy Group's policy development and reform work program.

About the role
As a Senior Policy Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Western Australia's energy sector by analysing emerging policy issues, providing evidence-based advice, and leading policy projects. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting research, building relationships with stakeholders, managing projects, preparing high-quality policy reports, drafting policy advice for the Minister and contributing to team leadership.
The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in policy research, project management, stakeholder engagement, and excellent written communication skills to deliver impactful advice to the government.
Where will you work?
This position is located in Perth, at 66 St Georges Terrace. The Department also has flexible work options allowing for reasonable working from home arrangements in accordance with Departmental policy.
