This is a fixed-term, full-time vacancy available for 12 months with the possibility of a permanent appointment or extension, subject to business requirements.
About the role
As a trainee, you will learn and develop a range of public administration skills that support your business area. Your duties will include a range of computer-based activities and tasks including:
- Customer service via phone, email and in person.
- Data entry, file management, record keeping and word processing.
- Utilising Departmental systems and Microsoft Office.
- Other duties as required by the business area.
You will also be given academic support and guidance to complete a nationally recognised Certificate III in Government.

- Is willing to undergo an employment screening, which includes a National Criminal History Check and other checks that may be relevant to the position requirements.
- To be eligible for a permanent appointment to the Western Australian public sector it is essential that you are an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status in Australia. To be eligible for a fixed term appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the duration of the contract.
