The Role and our Branch
The Information Systems ECT Branch is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Senior Analyst - Web Applications to join their team.

The Senior Analyst - Web Applications analyses and develops user requirements for new and upgraded data-driven web applications and databases. You will prepare detailed estimates for the analysis, design, development and testing phases of data-driven web application projects as well as develop, maintain and support new and existing computer systems and databases.
The successful applicant will lead system delivery activities, including analysis, design, programming, testing, change control, quality assurance, implementation, evaluation, security and user training. The Senior Analyst - Web Applications prepare and ensure systems and user documentation accurately and adequately describes the functions of the relevant system and conforms to standards.

Your written application will be assessed against the following Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated considerable skills and experience in managing the preparation, planning and control of analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and support of data-driven web applications.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in the development and deployment of data-driven web applications using Angular (or similar Java/JavaScript/React/Typescript), SQL Server and Microsoft .net framework.
- Demonstrated well developed conceptual, analytical, research and problem solving skills with the ability to identify and clarify problems and generate appropriate strategies to address them.
- Demonstrated well-developed oral and written communication skills, including system documentation, report writing and user training, with the ability to produce technical and non-technical documentation.
- Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance before commencing employment
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check
- complete
- the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- training specific to this role required by Department policy; and
- the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment
