The Role and our Branch
The School Curriculum and Standards Division (the Division) provides administrative and secretariat services for, and implements the decisions of, the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority). The Authority provides quality curriculum and ensures assessment standards to enable all students being taught the Western Australian Curriculum to become confident, creative learners and active, informed citizens who contribute positively to society.
The Examinations, Certification and Testing Directorate is responsible for ensuring equitable and rigorous senior secondary examinations are developed, implemented, and reviewed. The Directorate also develops and maintains strategies to acknowledge student performance including the development of online exam structures. The Directorate is responsible for the design, implementation, and evaluation of educational measurement activities in Years 11 and 12, including the moderation of external assessment activities.

The Student Records Management System Coordinator and Executive Support Officer coordinates and maintains complex data bases in established programs ensuring the integrity of the data and developing reports which can be used across the organisation, and assists in the development, maintenance, and management of the Student Records Management System (SRMS) for the use of internal and external stakeholders. The role is also responsible for providing high level executive support to the Assistant Executive Director, including calendar electronic mail, telephone calls, travel, and accommodation requirements.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance before commencing employment
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal Cultural Appreciation course
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check
- complete;
- the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement;
- training specific to this role required by Department policy; and
- the Department’s training in Accountability and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
