This is a Fixed Term Part Time appointment at 38 hours per fortnight for two (2) years with the possibility of extension(s).
The Innovation and Development directorate of the WA Country Health Service (WACHS) takes a leadership role across the organisation to drive key innovations in the access to and delivery of health care across WA. Through the increased use of technology, we are focusing on improving health service access and the health journey for country people, particularly providing specialist and multi-disciplinary care closer to home. The Innovation and Development directorate includes Digital and Data Innovation, Outpatient Reform and Access, Business Services and Research and Innovation.
The Research and Innovation directorate leads the delivery of the WACHS Research and Innovation Strategy, oversees the ethical review and approval of research at WACHS and delivers innovative programs including the ‘Pitch Your Pilot Program’ within WACHS. This program is designed to help improve the delivery of care in country WA. The team also builds research capacity, capability and culture and invests in research resources, partnerships, and infrastructure.
About this opportunity: The WACHS Research and Innovation team are seeking to appoint suitably experienced and enthusiastic person to join the team and undertake the role of Research Officer – Teletrial Program. This is an opportunity be part of a multi-disciplinary team of research, clinical and administrative staff.
The Teletrial team works collaboratively with WACHS Executive, Clinical Leads and other key stakeholders to lead the design, development and implementation of the Teletrial Program across WACHS. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of an innovative program which aims to increase access for regional, rural and remote patients to clinical trials closer to their home.
Position Profile: This position will contribute to the promotion, implementation, reporting and evaluation of clinical trials within the Teletrial Program. This role will assist staff within the multidisciplinary Teletrials team and other parties across various tasks including compiling information, reporting, the development of resources and delivery of education.
