The Transperth Train Operations (TTO) Division of the PTA is currently seeking an experienced and motivated individual to fill the Depot Master Mandurah position.
There is currently one (1) permanent, full-time opportunity available for filling.
About the Role
In this role you will support the Depot Manager in managing the TTO Division’s activities of the Mandurah Depot in relation to;
- Facilitating scheduled arrivals and departures and meeting changes to services.
- Developing and fostering an effective working relationship with railcar maintenance contractors.
- Ensuring Depot security is maintained and maintaining Depot buildings, staff facilities and equipment.
- Preparing and adjusting rosters, timekeeping and payroll information
- Issuing instructions to staff concerning Depot requirements
- Submitting reports and recommendations to formulate continuous improvement methods and systems.
- Overseeing the overall Depot operations when the Depot Manager is not on site.
- Motivating, coaching and supervising office administration and operating staff.
About You
To be successful in this role it is essential that you have;
- Substantial knowledge of and/or experience within a rail operations environment.
- Practical working knowledge of safeworking procedures.
- Considerable knowledge of:
- Occupational Safety and Health principles, practices, policies and procedures.
- Relevant (PTA) Industrial Awards and Agreements.
- Well developed management and leadership skills, including the ability to:
- motivate and support people
- assume control in response to serious incidents.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on mediation and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret Awards and Agreements.
- Well-developed computer literacy skills to complete rostering and timekeeping functions for the Depot.
