Our Transit Officers are the first responders to the vast majority of incidents on the rail network. They have a professional demeanour and remain calm when faced with challenging situations. They provide quality customer service to our passengers and play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of everyone on our network.
Being a Transit Officer is an often-demanding role that has fantastic rewards, pay and conditions. You’ll be part of a large skilled team of men and women, working in a variety of locations across the metropolitan rail network.

The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is rapidly expanding, and we are recruiting to cater for current vacancies and growing requirements.
The new Airport Line has already opened. The Yanchep rail extension, the Thornlie to Cockburn project and the Morley - Ellenbrook lines are in the design & construction phase. We require many highly skilled, motivated, and professional people to bolster our numbers ensuring we continue to provide the highest level of service to the community and into the future.

- Physical Testing: 3 – 8 February 2023
- Interviews: 16 – 23 February 2023
- Psychologist interview and medical assessment: 17, 20 – 24 March 2023
