The Role
The role undertakes Overhead Line Equipment switching (OLE), High Voltage testing and earthing for OLE isolations under the direction of a Nominated Person. Adhering to rules, procedures and guidelines of working within an electrified railway environment, the position provides general support to maintenance activities, whilst maintaining a safe working environment at all times in accordance with PTA requirements.
Who we are looking for
We are looking for applicants who can demonstrate sound communication skills (written, verbal and interpersonal) and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. You will have good self-awareness and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and personal accountably.
To be considered for further assessment, you will need to possess a current Western Australian ‘C' Class driver’s licence (or equivalent) and a current accreditation in Construction Industry White Card.
Additional Information
As part of the recruitment process, applicants may need to undertake aptitude testing to demonstrate sound numeracy and literacy skills. Additionally, applicants will need to undergo a basic practical assessment to demonstrate sound mechanical aptitude.
As these positions are operational in nature, applicants must be willing to work unsociable and irregular hours, including shift work and weekends.
There is one fixed term appointment available up to 30/06/2024 with possible extension and/or permanency. Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which permanent and fixed term appointments may be made over 12 months.
