Join the Office of Major Transport Infrastructure Delivery Division (OMTID) of the PTA where we are responsible for managing the delivery of complex, high value, high risk public transport infrastructure.
The Role
We are seeking to appoint an experienced Coordinating Projects Engineer to provide engineering expertise, leadership and management for the Byford Rail Extension (BRE) Project and/or the Inner Armadale Level Crossing Removal (LXR) Project, ensuring that all new infrastructure that is introduced is designed and constructed in accordance with project assurance objectives.
About you
The successful candidate will have highly developed conceptual, analytical and problem solving skills and interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills including ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and liaise and consult effectively at senior levels in the private and public sectors.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- Possession of a relevant engineering qualification suitable for admission as a Corporate Member to the Institute of Engineers Australia.
- Proven experience in applying technical multi-discipline knowledge on projects.
- Proven experience in planning, design and construction of railway infrastructure such that agreed outcomes are achieved.
- Highly developed project and contract management experience.
This is a pool recruitment process where suitable applicants will be placed in a pool for 12 months from which fixed term appointments with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency will be made. Currently there is one (1) full time fixed term position available until 30 June 2025 with the possibility of further extension(s) and/or permanency.
