The Role
This is a great opportunity for people interested in starting a career in the rail industry. We are looking to establish a pool to suitable candidates to fill the positions of Trainee Signal Maintainers.
As a Trainee Signal Maintainer, you will gain on the job experience assisting with the maintenance of our signalling system infrastructure across the urban metropolitan rail network.

Who we are looking for
We are looking for good team players with a willingness and commitment to learn. You will also have suitable numeracy, literacy and communication skills and a sound mechanical aptitude (including an ability to use hand and power tools, machinery and equipment).
A current unrestricted C Class WA driver’s licence is required, along with the ability to undertake shift work. Applicants must demonstrate an ability to work unsocial and irregular work hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays, rostered and standby requirements and attend call outs at short notice.
Please note that applicants are required to complete aptitude and ability tests (technical skills) as part of this selection process.
Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool for 12 months from which appointments will be made.
