About the Role
Main Roads Western Australia is growing rapidly due to technological advancements and their impact on the transport landscape. This growth is creating new challenges and opportunities within the organisation.
An exciting position of Delivery Manager Bridge Inspection has become available within our Structures Engineering Branch - Planning and Technical Services Directorate.
The Structure Engineering Branch facilitates the management of the state’s bridge assets, providing appropriate advice on technical issues. Main activities include state-wide bridge condition management, bridge inspections and reporting of structures conditions.
Some of your key deliverables will include, but are not limited to:
Inspection Planning, Development & Delivery: manage the delivery of Level 2 Detailed Bridge Inspection Program to ensure efficient bridge inspections are completed to approved scope, budget, time and quality.
Safety Inspection Controls: manage all safety aspects of inspection activities including road safety aspects to comply with legislated and Main Roads guidelines, policies and requirements.
Leadership & Management: manage employee behaviour, performance and development including management of financial, technological, and physical resources to meet agreed outcomes.
Stakeholder Relationship: build and enhance working relationships across Main Roads for the development, scheduling and delivery of bridge inspections including consultation and negotiation with external stakeholders.
About You
Main Roads is looking for an individual to manage and develop the Level 2 Bridge Inspection Delivery Plan (BIDP) to protect the longevity of bridges state-wide and identify bridge issues and risks for technical intervention, also providing expert advice on all aspects of the BIDP including a scientific rationale for inspection priorities.
To be successful in this role, it is critical that you have significant experience in managing bridge inspections.
Having a degree in Engineering would be advantageous.

- A copy of a WA C Class drivers' licence
If applicable, please attach a copy of your degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or other relevant disciplines.
