About the Job

The Public Transport Authority’s (PTA) vision is to be recognised as a leader in providing world-class public transport services and solutions.  As a fast growing economy, Western Australia’s public transport system is recognised as the best in Australia and is one of the most efficient, clean and safe networks in the world.  Rail transport is vital for our continued success and growth through our many projects including METRONET to meet the public’s needs and expectations.  Moving millions of people needs the skill and commitment of a talented workforce.

The Role

The Project Interface Manager (Third Parties) provides an interface to third party major construction projects, safeguards PTA assets and coordinates the monitoring of systems and resources for protection against third parties. The role works near to PTA assets and contributes to the overall performance, reliability and compliance of the PTA network.

Duties include:

  • Providing technical advice and recommendations to stakeholders in the planning and implementation of the third party major projects on and around PTA assets.
  • Ensuring third party projects deliver according to PTA standards, reporting back to discipline leads where there are concerns over practices.
  • Proactively investigating and reporting on issues and potential risks to asset condition.

There is currently one permanent position available for immediate filling.

This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur for up to 12 months.

About you

You will have substantial experience providing engineering expertise and knowledge (preferably in Civil Engineering) in the planning, design and commissioning of construction works in a complex, transport related operational and asset intensive environment similar to rail.

Your substantial management and leadership experience coupled with your well-developed communication and interpersonal skills will be critical in managing the performance of resources and overseeing the work of third party contractors. Your extensive consultancy experience will allow you to foster and maintain strategic relationships, critical to project success.
