The Role
The Project Interface Manager (Third Parties) provides an interface to third party major construction projects, safeguards PTA assets and coordinates the monitoring of systems and resources for protection against third parties. The role works near to PTA assets and contributes to the overall performance, reliability and compliance of the PTA network.
Duties include:
- Providing technical advice and recommendations to stakeholders in the planning and implementation of the third party major projects on and around PTA assets.
- Ensuring third party projects deliver according to PTA standards, reporting back to discipline leads where there are concerns over practices.
- Proactively investigating and reporting on issues and potential risks to asset condition.
There is currently one permanent position available for immediate filling.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur for up to 12 months.
About you
You will have substantial experience providing engineering expertise and knowledge (preferably in Civil Engineering) in the planning, design and commissioning of construction works in a complex, transport related operational and asset intensive environment similar to rail.
Your substantial management and leadership experience coupled with your well-developed communication and interpersonal skills will be critical in managing the performance of resources and overseeing the work of third party contractors. Your extensive consultancy experience will allow you to foster and maintain strategic relationships, critical to project success.
You will possess an Engineering Degree (preferably Civil Engineering) that would satisfy the admission requirement for Professional membership of the Institution of Engineers Australia (IEA) and have achieved (or willingness to work towards) chartered status in the IEA.
