About this role
Tourism WA is Western Australia’s State Tourism Organisation responsible for growing tourism by marketing WA as an incredible holiday and business events destination; attracting and promoting world-class sporting, cultural and arts events; and improving access, accommodation and tourism experiences. Tourism is an important part of Western Australia’s economy, and growing this industry has significant impact on the State’s economy and the vibrancy of the community.
The Executive Director Events provides strategic leadership, management and specialist services associated with event development and contract management including event management. As a member of the Executive Management Team you will be responsible for accelerating the sustainable growth of the tourism industry for the long term social and economic benefit of Western Australia
We are looking for an individual with;
- Proven ability to lead and manage large and complex and initiatives
- Strong understanding of event development and sponsorship management
- An exceptional ability to build strong effective networks and relationships and to communicate with influence
- A high level of personal integrity and the ability to champion JTSI’s values

This is a fixed term Senior Executive Service (SES) appointment for a term of up to five (5) years.
