PSCSAA 2021, Level 3, $72,896 - $78,717 pa, plus superannuation
18-month fixed term contract opportunity with possibility of extension and/or permanency after 12 months
As a Treasury Graduate, you will have the opportunity to make a difference by contributing to government decision making. You will have three rotations in different business areas across Treasury and be supported by a structured learning and development framework. You will work in a collaborative and dynamic environment. In this role, you will proactively identify issues and provide innovative solutions to problems which make a difference to WA.
We have a number of positions available for immediate filling. Other suitable applicants will be placed in an appointment pool. This pool will run for a period of 12 months and may be used to fill other similar fixed-term and permanent vacancies. Please note that being placed in the pool does not guarantee your placement in a position.
About the Role
The Treasury Graduate Program is a structured program that runs for 18-months with three rotations. Throughout the course of your rotations, you will develop a broad overview and knowledge of the diverse areas of Treasury, be exposed to high profile State projects, build a range of professional networks with key stakeholders, and engage in further learning and development.
As a Graduate Officer, you will perform challenging and interesting work dealing with a wide range of issues and stakeholders within government and across various industries, with a potential rotation to the Western Australian Treasury Corporation.

About You
We are looking for conscientious and dedicated individuals who have graduated in the past two years and who display resiliency, proactivity and a strong work ethic.
To be eligible for the Graduate Program, you must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Successful completion of a recent tertiary qualification, with a completion date between December 2020 to December 2022. If you are still studying in 2022 - you must complete your course by December 2022. The tertiary qualification must be a minimum of an undergraduate degree, and any degree discipline is acceptable.
- High academic achievement (Weighted Average Mark of 70% and above) for the tertiary qualification.
- Alignment with the capabilities and behaviours of a Graduate Officer as per the attached Level 3 Capability Framework. You will also need to align with Treasury’s values of: Solutions Focused, Working Collaboratively, Committed People and Making a Difference.
- Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency.
