Our Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) Services directorate is establishing a pool of talent to conduct, lead and manage environmental impact assessments of major proposals in WA.
The talent pool will operate for six (6) months with a possibility of extension.
What does EPA Services do?
We support the EPA to conduct environmental impact assessments of development proposals and statutory planning schemes. We also work closely with industry and the community to develop policy, guidelines and strategic advice to manage environmental impacts and protect the state’s environment.

Roles on offer:
Environmental Officers (SCL2) and Senior Environmental Officers (SCL3)
Conducting (SCL2) or leading (SCL3) environmental impact assessments for significant projects and collaborate with key stakeholders to deliver high quality and timely outputs of assessments under the Western Australian Environmental Protection Act. SCL3s also assist with management of effective work teams through provision of support, and mentoring services for other staff.
Principal Environmental Officers (SCL4)
Principal Environmental Officers (SCL4) are subject matter experts who lead and manage projects and contributes to the development and implementation of policies, strategies, systems and processes to support the functions of the EPA. Principal Environmental Officers provide detailed advice, negotiate, and liaise with industry, government and the public on environmental matters, including complex and contentious issues. Principal Environmental Officers also manage effective work teams and mentor staff.

Our opportunities are located at Prime House in Joondalup, Western Australia.

We are conveniently located 25 minutes north of Perth CBD with nearby parking and a 15-minute walk to Joondalup Train Station and Joondalup Shopping Centre.
