Job Summary:
East Metropolitan Health Services (EMHS) are seeking to
establish a pool of experienced, passionate and caring Midwives to
join the team providing evidence based and high-quality patient
care. As a Midwifery continuity model of care, focussed on the
community, EMHS provide a collaborative and integrative service to
address the needs of women with a diverse range of both ambulatory
and non-ambulatory settings. This includes Antenatal;
Intrapartum/Birthing, Postnatal and community/ancillary services
available across varied work settings. Suitably experienced
applicants may also have the opportunity to gain experience in our
well-established Midwifery Group Practice including the award
winning Boodjari Yorgas service supporting Aboriginal maternal
health and wellbeing. There are ongoing opportunities to apply for
promotional roles within both inpatient and outpatient
services.
Position Profile:
Multiple permanent positions are available and likely to
increase with a growing number of service improvements planned for
the next 12 months. An ideal applicant would be a flexible team
player capable of working in all areas across the Midwifery
continuum of care: antenatal, intrapartum and the postnatal period.
Working in collaboration with Clinical Midwives, you would provide
direct patient care and practice in accordance with EHMS Values of
Kindness, Respect, Collaboration, Integrity, Excellence &
Accountability. Practicing within your scope and in line with the
NMBA Midwifery Standards, the Code of Ethics and the Code of
Conduct, EMHS Midwives work as part of a multidisciplinary team
providing midwifery care that is, woman focused and sensitive to
Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CaLD) families.
