Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is looking to recruit Carer Support Workers on a permanent full-time basis.
We currently have a Full Time Equivalent (FTE) of 4.0 permanent full-time positions vacant with us.
Position Profile:
- As a member of a multi-disciplinary team, with the unique lens of the lived experience of caring for a child or adolescent with mental health issues, provides parents and carers with recovery-oriented advice, support and advocacy.
- Assists parents and carers to identify their child and family needs for recovery, navigate the mental health system, connect with lived experience support services and bring empowerment, hope and connection to support better mental health outcomes.
- Provides education and training to staff, facilitates education forums for parents and carers and contributes to quality improvement and research within acute CAMHS.
This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time, Permanent Part Time, Fixed Term Full Time, and Fixed Term Part Time appointments with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency. These positions are at various Community CAMHS locations.

This is an “open-ended” recruitment pool, and as such the following should be noted:
- The panel will monitor this recruitment pool for applications and will assess on a regular basis.
- Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur.
- Appointments may be made from this pool until 29/12/2024.
