About you
We are looking for enthusiastic and dynamic applicants for the role of Senior Project Officers.
Previous experience in public health campaign strategy, development and research and/or public health education is preferential but not required.
All Mental Health Commission employees are required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to access community care facilities, pursuant to the Community Care Services Worker (Restrictions on Access) Directions (Directions), and the Remote Aboriginal Community Worker (Restrictions on Access) Directions, unless the employee is exempt pursuant to the Directions.
About the role
The Level 5 Senior Project Officer develops, implements, manages and evaluates mental health promotion and alcohol and illicit-drug related prevention campaigns, programs and projects in the public education and health promotion area. The occupant of this role will liaise with other government and non-government agencies and other groups about mental health, alcohol and other drug related issues and conduct presentations relating to prevention initiatives.
In addition to the above, the Level 6 Senior Project Officer will supervise workflow of staff and manage allocated budgets and business case development. The Senior Program Officer will also contribute to development of behaviour change program strategy, strategic plans, policies and priority setting.
