About the Role
VenuesWest is looking for an individual with energy, enthusiasm, drive and a positive attitude to join our Venue Delivery Team. We are seeking a venue management professional to undertake the role of Venue Supervisor.
This role supervises event production and set up requirements, production and operational requirements for facility bookings and events, ensuring the facilities are well maintained to meet the presentation needs of our clients and that we deliver safe and quality customer experiences.
The role is required to supervise staff, oversee the set up and break down of all venue hire requirements, hire any additional event resources as required, coordinate Venue Event Control during events and liaise with clients to ensure their expectations are managed.
Based at HBF Arena in Joondalup, we currently have a part time permanent role offering 19 hours per week.
The role requires mobility between the portfolio of venues and is hands-on requiring availability for shifts based on a rotating roster that includes early morning, afternoon and weekend shifts that can be outside of regular working hours depending on event requirements.

About the Person
Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in function and/or event production and supervision within a multi-purpose sport, recreation and/or entertainment venue.
You must be able to communicate clearly; organise and reschedule work to reflect changes in priority and see tasks through to completion; support a culture of quality customer service and supervise, direct and develop people.

Eligibility

Permanent Appointment

Fixed Term Employment
- documentary evidence (i.e. working visa) of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the duration of the fixed term appointment

- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last three months)
- AHA COVID-19 – HOSPITALITY Hygiene Course: completion of this course prior to commencement is essential – as part of the onboarding process you will be required to upload the certificate of completion.
