About the Role
VenuesWest is seeking casual swimming instructors to join our swim schools at HBF Arena in Joondalup and HBF Stadium in Mount Claremont to fulfill shifts within our opening hours:
HBF Stadium
Monday to Friday - 9am to 12pm
Monday to Friday - 3.30pm to 5pm
Saturday - 9am to 12pm
HBF Arena
Monday to Friday - 9am to 12pm
Monday to Friday - 3.30pm to 6pm
Saturday 8am to 12pm
Sunday 8am to 12pm
The VenuesWest Swim School offers a continuous program in our indoor heated pools for babies (HBF Arena) toddlers (HBF Stadium) through to adult swimming lessons. We are an Austswim recognised swim school with low class ratios to ensure maximum learning for our students.
About the Person
The successful candidates will have strong customer service skills, excellent communication skills and a passion for swim teaching. Previous experience as a swim teacher is also a requirement of this role. The following qualifications are essential:
- Valid WWCC
- Valid AUSTSWIM license or equivalent
- Valid CPR
- National Police Clearance (valid within the last 3 months)
Desirable – Infant and Pre-School Aquatics Qualification

Eligibility
To be eligible for employment with VenuesWest you must have the following at the time of lodging your application:
- be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status
- a Special Category Visa with unrestricted stay and work rights for New Zealand citizens
- documentary evidence (i.e. working visa) of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the duration of the fixed term appointment
To be eligible for employment with VenuesWest you must have the following at the time of commencement:
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last three months)
- AHA COVID-19 – HOSPITALITY Hygiene Course: completion of this course prior to commencement is essential – as part of the onboarding process you will be required to upload the certificate of completion.
Please note that the appointee will bear the costs associated with the abovementioned eligibility requirements.

VenuesWest will utilise this recruitment process to place suitable applicants in a pool for a six month period.
