Position Profile: The Fiona Stanley Fremantle Hospital Group is seeking to appoint suitably experienced and enthusiastic individuals to the position of Consultant - Surgeon - General Surgery.
In this role you will:
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to lead the provision of general surgery services to patients.
- Promote personalised, safe and timely care.
- Lead and promote the organisational culture of commitment, accountability, respect and excellence.
- Actively address clinical risks and delays in patient care for individual patients.
- Educate and supervise junior medical staff and other health workers.
- Work with the Head of Specialty and other consultants to manage unplanned and planned patient demand, achieve national performance outcomes and to meet the National Safety and Quality Health Services Standards.
Area Profile: Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) is a 783-bed tertiary hospital offering a range of health services including the State Rehabilitation Service, a comprehensive cancer centre, purpose-built mental health unit, maternity, paediatric and neonatal services, and the State Adult Burns Service. FSH also delivers specialised services such as heart and lung transplantations and hyperbaric medicine.
Fremantle Hospital is a 300-bed specialist hospital focused on providing high-quality aged care, mental health, secondary rehabilitation, planned surgeries and medical services.
