People need to get to work, home and everywhere in between and businesses rely on our roads. With a rich history dating back to 1926 and exciting future ahead, Main Roads Western Australia is the WA State Government agency responsible for managing the State's road network safely, connecting people and places. Main Roads is not just about roads. It’s about people.
Why we need you
Main Roads are currently seeking a professional with extensive experience in investment planning. As a key member of our Budget and Programming branch, you will play a critical role in the planning of investment in one of the largest and most geographically spread road networks in the world.
In this role, you will prepare and provide investment planning advice consistent with Main Roads’ strategic priorities, having consideration to the future impacts of investment decisions. You will hold strong analytical skills to make meaning and provide insights from complex financial and asset data. You will work with internal and external stakeholders to promote an understanding of asset investment strategies and governance processes. Leading a small team, you will further develop and implement our investment planning processes.
This is a high-profile role within Main Roads, requiring close liaison with senior managers and other key internal and external stakeholders. Collaborative working is required to ensure that we prioritise and recommend appropriate investments in our network, so that we deliver the best possible outcomes for our customers. With a career background in engineering, commerce or economics you will apply your previous experience in asset investment planning, economic evaluation, governance frameworks and the management of resources.
