The Role
We are recruiting for Signal Technicians and have three (3) immediate vacancies. If you are looking to contribute to keeping the metropolitan rail service for the communities of Perth operating safety and reliably then we want to hear from you.
These roles are great opportunities for enthusiastic individuals who are looking for a new challenge; do not want to work the FIFO life or would like to move to the beautiful city of Perth, Western Australia.
As a Signal Technician you will:
- Carry out preventative routine maintenance and fault rectification including symptom investigations on signalling equipment, protected level crossings and associated systems and critical power supplies.
- Conduct appropriate testing and monitoring against procedures to ensure signalling equipment and system safety, integrity and reliability is as required.
- Carry out technical tasks required for commissioning of new equipment, systems and technology.
- Ensure work performance and access requirements are complied with, in accordance with Public Transport Authority’s safety standards, operational procedures and corporate policies.
- Maintain competencies in operating equipment, systems, specialist tools and precision instruments.

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool for 12 months from which permanent and fixed term appointments will be made.
