Appointment Pool
Rossmoyne Senior High School (SHS) is seeking to establish a pool of innovative and future focused Health and Physical Education Teachers for possible appointments in permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2022 school year. Appointments can be made from the pool at any time for commencement within the 2022 school year. It’s an exciting time to join our school community as we start to implement our new Business Plan.
Suitable applicants should ideally have an outstanding knowledge of Health and Physical Education curriculum in Years 7 – 12, showing their commitment to excellence and have a repertoire of teaching strategies for inclusivity and empowering students to become responsive global citizens. Ideally experience with Outdoor Education and delivery of HPE Certificate courses is desirable. Candidates who have experience working with Gifted and Talented students, Students at Educational Risk and English as an Additional Language/Dialect students will be highly regarded.
We require teachers who are relationship focused and possess strong interpersonal skills while working collaboratively in a team environment. They will be reflective and use evidence based decision-making skills to strengthen their abilities and improve student outcomes. ELIGIBILITY
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- obtain a current Department of Education Criminal Record Clearance prior to commencement of employment; and
- obtain or hold a current Working with Children Check.
- be fully or provisionally registered with the Teacher Registration Board (TRB), or be eligible for full or provisional registration prior to commencement of the position. (Applicants who require a Limited Registration to teach from the TRB are not eligible). TRAINING
Employees will be required to:
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement; and
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy.
The Department applies a four (4) day breach period to this selection process.
