This is an exciting time to join the South West Development Commission within the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development (DPIRD). We are an extremely busy team and are searching for fantastic people to be part of the journey! Senior Regional Development Officer (Level 6)
We are looking for authentic and enthusiastic leaders to join the South West Development Commission as Senior Regional Development Officers to work across either the Infrastructure and Lands, or Strategic Projects and Grants portfolio. Located in Bunbury, your key responsibilities will be to coordinate and conduct research to support the planning and implementation of economic development for the region. Having Project Management experience in Grant administration or Infrastructure would be highly desirable. In addition, you will have the following experience, skills, and attributes;
- Previous experience in high level project/program management
- Ability to develop policies and briefing notes
- Good communication skills to lead a team, and liaise with a range of key stakeholders
Regional Development Officer (Level 5)
As a Regional Development Officer, you will work as part of the dynamic multi-agency Collie Delivery Unit to provide Regional Development and Administrative support to the Collie community as it transitions away from economic reliance on coal and coal-fired energy generation. You will undertake matters relating to grant administration, strategies, plans and policies. To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience in Project Management, and have great time management and organisational skills to support the Commission.
Regional Development Officer (Level 4)
We are looking for fantastic Regional Development Officers to support the team across a range of portfolios within the Commission. As a Regional Development Officer, you will be responsible for providing the team with Regional Development, and Administration/Secretarial support across a range of areas ranging from grants management, to senior executive services.
Your goal will be to analyse and provide assistance with research, to support the planning/implementation of community and economic development projects. To be successful in this role, you will have great time management and organisation skills to ensure administration processes are efficient and the team are supported within their projects.
Executive Officer (Level 4)
We are seeking the services of an experienced Executive Officer to provide executive services to the Board, CEO and Directors. This opportunity involves providing support to senior leaders and assisting with a range of matters relating to research, policy and project work. If you thrive in a busy environment and love working alongside great leaders, this may be the position for you!

To be eligible for a permanent appointment to the Western Australian public sector you must be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status in Australia. To be eligible for a fixed term or a casual appointment you must have documentary evidence of your entitlement to live and work in Australia for the period of the contract and this is required as part of your application.
Subject to appointment, successful applicants will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy before commencing employment;

The pool will be valid for a period of twelve (12) months following finalisation of the process and may be used to fill permanent and fixed term, full time and part time opportunities that may arise in this period.
