Client Services Division
This pool recruitment process will be used to fill permanent, fixed term, full time and part time vacancies that may arise over a period of 12 months from the date of finalisation of the recruitment process.

Legal Aid WA seeks candidates interested in applying for entry into a Paralegal Pool for positions which may become available during the next 12 months within our Client Services Division. We are looking for people with a desire to assist and empower persons in need.
About the role
As a Paralegal in the Client Services Division you will have the opportunity to undertake a range of duties across the Division including the assessment of applications for legal aid, intake and triage of clients, drafting urgent court documents and providing information and legal advice to clients under supervision.
The ideal candidates will have;
- experience working with complex clients with an ability to discern legal and non-legal matters from a group of people with diverse backgrounds;
- experience working as part of a team and the ability to contribute positively to a team;
- highly developed communication skills;
- the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment;
- high level of accuracy and attention to detail;
- good working knowledge of the court processes, Legal Aid services and other service providers is desirable.

The attached Job Description Form (JDF) provides an overview of the paralegal’s role, along with the selection criteria against which you will be assessed throughout the selection process.
