About the Role
Reporting to the Principal Design Engineer, we are seeking an experienced Senior Road Design Engineer to provide specialist technical advice to internal staff and external consultants, prepare designs for complex highway projects and develop technical standards and guidelines in the field of road design.
The Senior Road Engineer also fulfils the role of project co-ordinator for a multi-disciplinary design team and contributes to community consultation as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will need to submit evidence of your Degree in Civil Engineering and have substantial skill, knowledge and experience in road design standards, projects and processes.
You will have a strong background in researching, analysing and solving engineering problems and you also need to be able to maintain positive working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
You will be responsible for the direct supervision of a number of staff and will need to be effective in managing employee behaviour, performance and development.
