Are you an experienced HR/Payroll Officer with excellent customer service skills?
The Office of the Auditor General for Western Australia is an independent agency reporting directly to Parliament on public sector performance. We help Parliament hold government to account, are a key source of independent and objective information to the community and help promote change and improve public services.
The HR team is part of Business Services delivering high level, quality and cost effective corporate services support. Business Services ensures the human, financial and technology resources of the Office are used efficiently and effectively and that management has the information to effectively run the Office.
In addition to payroll, you will be part of a small HR team delivering the full range of human resources services to the Office. This role offers exposure to a broad range of HR activities and you could be actively involved in Aurion HRIS admin, providing consultancy to our client-base, one-on-one inductions for new starters and reporting.
To do this you will need experience in processing end to end payroll and the ability to interpret legislation and policies. Preference will be given to those with experience using Aurion HRIS.
To successfully fill this role you need:
- experience managing multiple competing demands
- the ability to deliver a quality, accurate end to end payroll service
- high level communication and interpersonal skills
- demonstrated ability to interpret and apply Awards, Agreements and policies.
We have 1 temporary fulltime position available for immediate filling as a fixed term contract or secondment opportunity. While this vacancy is for an initial period of 6 months, there may be the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
