This is a Fixed Term Full Time appointment for 5 years.

Position Profile: We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and passionate person to the role of Director Clinical Services. Reporting to the Executive Director and as a key member of the executive leadership team, the Director Clinical Services will provide outstanding leadership to a committed and high performing medical team, ensuring the highest level of contemporary and patient-focused clinical practice.

Armadale Kalamunda Group is undergoing substantial growth in service demand and the successful candidate will need to work with their team and across the organisation to ensure the service can continue to meet the growing and changing health care needs of the community.

The role will ensure that that clinical care, teaching and training will be supported by best practice clinical governance. The role will provide strategic oversight for patient safety, quality of care and clinical excellence.

You will have professional credibility, possess a demonstrable track record in strategic clinical leadership and governance with exceptionally strong stakeholder management skills, and have contemporary knowledge and experience with respect to best practice in clinical care. You will have demonstrated experience operating at a strategic level and achieving results in a complex tertiary hospital setting.

You will need to be eligible for registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia and the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Area Profile: Armadale Kalamunda Group is a general hospital and Health Service focused on providing a range of high quality health care services in the community. Services included Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit and provides high-quality general medical and surgery services, rehabilitation, maternity, paediatric and neonatal, mental health, renal medicine and dialysis services and ambulatory care.
 
Kalamunda Hospital (KH) is a specialist hospital and is part of the Armadale Kalamunda Group. The hospital provides both day surgical procedures and a specialist inpatient palliative care service for patients in the east metropolitan area.
