This is a fifteen (15) month fixed term, full-time position commencing Term 4, 2020 with possible extension (15 months) and/or permanency
The Manager, Examination Logistics will lead and direct Branch activities, including the administration and marking of the ATAR course examinations, determination of the associated exhibitions and awards and post examination statistical and result checking processes. The successful applicant will provide advice and support to the Division and the Authority on matters related to conduct of examinations and post-examination processes. You will liaise and collaborate with Manager - Examination Development, Manager - Data and Certification and the Manager - Information Systems to coordinate the functions of the Examination Logistics Branch with these branches.
The successful applicant will manage and provide strategic leadership in the development, implementation and evaluation of policies and procedures associated with the administration of ATAR course examinations. You will review and monitor the implementation of new policies and programs and the operation of existing policies and programs in regard to compliance with the achievement of the Authority’s Strategic Plan.
The Manager, Examination Logistics will negotiate and approve contracts of service and payments to supervisors, markers and other casual staff in relation to ATAR course examinations and EST. You will lead, review and provide strategic advice to the Authority on the future direction in senior secondary external assessment whilst providing technical and operational advice to the Executive Director, members of the School Curriculum and Standards Division executive and related committees on examination administration, marking processing issues and exhibitions and awards.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our branch for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.

Eligibility and training requirements
