Human Resources Officer
About the Position
The Human Resources Officer supports the delivery of a range of human resource management services and functions. This will include recruitment, selection and appointment, personnel and payroll, training and development, organisational establishment and occupational safety and health.
The occupant of this position will be involved in the delivery of a variety of tasks, including:
- End to end recruitment including the advertising of vacant positions, arranging interviews, drafting of selection reports and the preparation of employment contracts;
- Assisting with payroll processing to ensure the accurate and timely payment of staff;
- Providing advice to staff on employment conditions, policies and procedures;
- Providing system support to staff regarding the use of the training and performance management system;
- Assisting to sourcing training programs that are customised to organisational requirements; and
- Assisting with the coordination of occupational safety and health, health and wellness and equity and diversity functions on behalf of WorkCover WA.
To be successful in this position prospective applicants should:
- Be adaptable with a willingness to learn and undertake a range of duties;
- Be a competent communicator in written and verbal mediums;
- Have experience in the provision of a range of human resources functions.

Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be appointed to other similar vacancies that occur throughout the Agency over the coming 12 months.

Selection Methodology
A variety of assessment methodologies may be used throughout the recruitment process, including but not limited to:
- Interview/s;
- Skills assessment;
- Aptitude testing;
- Psychometric testing; and
- Referee checks.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a National Police Clearance.
